God is asking me to keep my heart open… I have said goodbye to a lot of people in my adult life due to multiple moves. One of the ways I have dealt with that over the years is to close off my heart and not pursue others.
I know that soon I will have to say goodbye to another close friend. My tendency would be to pull back from that friendship and avoid others as well.
These next few months will be an opportunity for me to respond differently – push through the hurt and learn more how to love well.
I so resonate with this! Saying goodbye is hard and I don’t know how to let go… (sigh) I appreciate that you acknowledge this as a hurt and I truly admire how you are anticipating and already intentionally seeking a different way to respond!
I believe that God has called me to work at Windfield Village assisting the retired residents, making their life easier, and eventually having them realize how much God loves them and cares about them. During this process I am learning to totally depend on Jesus for my physical strength and finances. So far, so good!

Patience
To walk by faith and keep my eyes on Jesus. This has been a tough year, but I feel His presence and peace. He is my only ROCK.
